Installation
Installing Creations is very easy. If playing on Game Pass, it is done within the game itself.
Game Pass Installation (PC and Xbox)
How to Install Creations - Game Pass
- Go to the Bethesda.net website and Bookmark Shotties and More for easy reference in-game.
- Start up Starfield.
- Navigate to the Creations option from the Main Menu.
- Scroll down to Bookmarks and select Shotties and More.
- Select Purchase.
- Back out to the Main Menu to let the data files refresh.
- Return to the Creations tab and sort your load order.
- Have fun!
Third-Party Mod Manager (PC-only)
Installing Creations with third-party managers requires a bit more effort. It is unknown at this time how long it will take for the third-party managers to get caught up to the latest Starfield update.

- Follow the steps 1-6 from above.
- Sort your load order using your chosen Third-Party Manager.
Updating Creations

Read documentation regarding updates and decide if updating in the middle of a playthrough is right for you and your save game.
How to update Creations
- Navigate to the Creations option in the Main Menu.
- Creations that have updates are conveniently listed under Updates near the top of the Creations Screen.
- Select the Creation you wish to update
- Select Update.
- Back out to the Main Menu to let the data files refresh.
- Xbox Players: If any new textures are added with the update, you can clear your video cache with a full power cycle to ensure they update properly.
- Return to your last save game.
No support is provided if updating in the middle of your game. Subscribe to the newsletter or follow on Twitter (X) for important updates to creations and mods.
Important Information
Load Order and Compatibility
Shotties and More is a scripted light master. It has no dependencies on anything but Starfield.esm, does not touch or overwrite base records, and should not conflict with any other creation.
Other Creation Communication
Shotties and More assumes the Object Mod Templates will be vanilla. If using a creation that affects the same templates, there will be value adjustments not accounted for.

Before reporting an unexpected issue, please make sure no other creation has made adjustments to the template values.
Are you new to modding Bethesda games?
Designing a Load Order is used for conflict resolution. Bethesda games read mods (creations) from top to bottom and whatever is at the bottom will override the top. They generally follow a "Rule of One" so the best practice until you understand how a modded game works is to only choose one of any kind of creation that overrides vanilla records to ensure compatibility.
A Load Order may not be required if you have no overwrites to vanilla records. However, a good modding practice is to keep like with like and download in the order you want the game to read the records. The same safe modding practices from Fallout 4 apply. Writing them down before downloading is also a good practice, especially in the event of internet connection failure.

Technical Information
For Modders
dn_CommonGun instance naming rules are updated at runtime and will not show up as merged in xEdit. Fully documented source scripts are included with the download.
For Players
Plan your game before downloading.
Scripted instance naming rules injection. Please do not remove a creation in the middle of your game and continue on the same save. Bethesda did not include scripts to remove merged instance naming rules; there is no way to do so safely – especially on Xbox where script extension is not available.
