  1. Bee Movie Script - Dialogue Transcript

  2. Voila! Finally, the Bee Movie script is here for all you fans of the Jerry Seinfeld animated movie. This puppy is a transcript that was painstakingly transcribed using the screenplay and/or viewings of the movie to get the dialogue. I know, I know, I still need to get the cast names in there and all that jazz, so if you have any corrections, feel free to drop me a line. At least you'll have some Bee Movie quotes (or even a monologue or two) to annoy your coworkers with in the meantime, right?

  3. And swing on back to Drew's Script-O-Rama afterwards -- because reading is good for your noodle. Better than Farmville, anyway.

  4. Bee Movie Script

  5. According to all known laws

  6. of aviation,

  7. there is no way a bee

  8. should be able to fly.

  9. Its wings are too small to get

  10. its fat little body off the ground.

  11. The bee, of course, flies anyway

  12. because bees don't care

  13. what humans think is impossible.

  14. Yellow, black. Yellow, black.

  15. Yellow, black. Yellow, black.

  16. Ooh, black and yellow!

  17. Let's shake it up a little.

  18. Barry! Breakfast is ready!

  19. Ooming!

  20. Hang on a second.

  21. Hello?

  22. - Barry?

  23. - Adam?

  24. - Oan you believe this is happening?

  25. - I can't. I'll pick you up.

  26. Looking sharp.

  27. Use the stairs. Your father

  28. paid good money for those.

  29. Sorry. I'm excited.

  30. Here's the graduate.

  31. We're very proud of you, son.

  32. A perfect report card, all B's.

  33. Very proud.

  34. Ma! I got a thing going here.

  35. - You got lint on your fuzz.

  36. - Ow! That's me!

  37. - Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000.

  38. - Bye!

  39. Barry, I told you,

  40. stop flying in the house!

  41. - Hey, Adam.

  42. - Hey, Barry.

  43. - Is that fuzz gel?

  44. - A little. Special day, graduation.

  45. Never thought I'd make it.

  46. Three days grade school,

  47. three days high school.

  48. Those were awkward.

  49. Three days college. I'm glad I took

  50. a day and hitchhiked around the hive.

  51. You did come back different.

  52. - Hi, Barry.

  53. - Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good.

  54. - Hear about Frankie?

  55. - Yeah.

  56. - You going to the funeral?

  57. - No, I'm not going.

  58. Everybody knows,

  59. sting someone, you die.

  60. Don't waste it on a squirrel.

  61. Such a hothead.

  62. I guess he could have

  63. just gotten out of the way.

  64. I love this incorporating

  65. an amusem*nt park into our day.

  66. That's why we don't need vacations.

  67. Boy, quite a bit of pomp...

  68. under the circ*mstances.

  69. - Well, Adam, today we are men.

  70. - We are!

  71. - Bee-men.

  72. - Amen!

  73. Hallelujah!

  74. Students, faculty, distinguished bees,

  75. please welcome Dean Buzzwell.

  76. Welcome, New Hive Oity

  77. graduating class of...

  78. ...9:15.

  79. That concludes our ceremonies.

  80. And begins your career

  81. at Honex Industries!

  82. Will we pick ourjob today?

  83. I heard it's just orientation.

  84. Heads up! Here we go.

  85. Keep your hands and antennas

  86. inside the tram at all times.

  87. - Wonder what it'll be like?

  88. - A little scary.

  89. Welcome to Honex,

  90. a division of Honesco

  91. and a part of the Hexagon Group.

  92. This is it!

  93. Wow.

  94. Wow.

  95. We know that you, as a bee,

  96. have worked your whole life

  97. to get to the point where you

  98. can work for your whole life.

  99. Honey begins when our valiant Pollen

  100. Jocks bring the nectar to the hive.

  101. Our top-secret formula

  102. is automatically color-corrected,

  103. scent-adjusted and bubble-contoured

  104. into this soothing sweet syrup

  105. with its distinctive

  106. golden glow you know as...

  107. Honey!

  108. - That girl was hot.

  109. - She's my cousin!

  110. - She is?

  111. - Yes, we're all cousins.

  112. - Right. You're right.

  113. - At Honex, we constantly strive

  114. to improve every aspect

  115. of bee existence.

  116. These bees are stress-testing

  117. a new helmet technology.

  118. - What do you think he makes?

  119. - Not enough.

  120. Here we have our latest advancement,

  121. the Krelman.

  122. - What does that do?

  123. - Oatches that little strand of honey

  124. that hangs after you pour it.

  125. Saves us millions.

  126. Oan anyone work on the Krelman?

  127. Of course. Most bee jobs are

  128. small ones. But bees know

  129. that every small job,

  130. if it's done well, means a lot.

  131. But choose carefully

  132. because you'll stay in the job

  133. you pick for the rest of your life.

  134. The same job the rest of your life?

  135. I didn't know that.

  136. What's the difference?

  137. You'll be happy to know that bees,

  138. as a species, haven't had one day off

  139. in 27 million years.

  140. So you'll just work us to death?

  141. We'll sure try.

  142. Wow! That blew my mind!

  143. "What's the difference?"

  144. How can you say that?

  145. One job forever?

  146. That's an insane choice to have to make.

  147. I'm relieved. Now we only have

  148. to make one decision in life.

  149. But, Adam, how could they

  150. never have told us that?

  151. Why would you question anything?

  152. We're bees.

  153. We're the most perfectly

  154. functioning society on Earth.

  155. You ever think maybe things

  156. work a little too well here?

  157. Like what? Give me one example.

  158. I don't know. But you know

  159. what I'm talking about.

  160. Please clear the gate.

  161. Royal Nectar Force on approach.

  162. Wait a second. Oheck it out.

  163. - Hey, those are Pollen Jocks!

  164. - Wow.

  165. I've never seen them this close.

  166. They know what it's like

  167. outside the hive.

  168. Yeah, but some don't come back.

  169. - Hey, Jocks!

  170. - Hi, Jocks!

  171. You guys did great!

  172. You're monsters!

  173. You're sky freaks! I love it! I love it!

  174. - I wonder where they were.

  175. - I don't know.

  176. Their day's not planned.

  177. Outside the hive, flying who knows

  178. where, doing who knows what.

  179. You can'tjust decide to be a Pollen

  180. Jock. You have to be bred for that.

  181. Right.

  182. Look. That's more pollen

  183. than you and I will see in a lifetime.

  184. It's just a status symbol.

  185. Bees make too much of it.

  186. Perhaps. Unless you're wearing it

  187. and the ladies see you wearing it.

  188. Those ladies?

  189. Aren't they our cousins too?

  190. Distant. Distant.

  191. Look at these two.

  192. - Oouple of Hive Harrys.

  193. - Let's have fun with them.

  194. It must be dangerous

  195. being a Pollen Jock.

  196. Yeah. Once a bear pinned me

  197. against a mushroom!

  198. He had a paw on my throat,

  199. and with the other, he was slapping me!

  200. - Oh, my!

  201. - I never thought I'd knock him out.

  202. What were you doing during this?

  203. Trying to alert the authorities.

  204. I can autograph that.

  205. A little gusty out there today,

  206. wasn't it, comrades?

  207. Yeah. Gusty.

  208. We're hitting a sunflower patch

  209. six miles from here tomorrow.

  210. - Six miles, huh?

  211. - Barry!

  212. A puddle jump for us,

  213. but maybe you're not up for it.

  214. - Maybe I am.

  215. - You are not!

  216. We're going 0900 at J-Gate.

  217. What do you think, buzzy-boy?

  218. Are you bee enough?

  219. I might be. It all depends

  220. on what 0900 means.

  221. Hey, Honex!

  222. Dad, you surprised me.

  223. You decide what you're interested in?

  224. - Well, there's a lot of choices.

  225. - But you only get one.

  226. Do you ever get bored

  227. doing the same job every day?

  228. Son, let me tell you about stirring.

  229. You grab that stick, and you just

  230. move it around, and you stir it around.

  231. You get yourself into a rhythm.

  232. It's a beautiful thing.

  233. You know, Dad,

  234. the more I think about it,

  235. maybe the honey field

  236. just isn't right for me.

  237. You were thinking of what,

  238. making balloon animals?

  239. That's a bad job

  240. for a guy with a stinger.

  241. Janet, your son's not sure

  242. he wants to go into honey!

  243. - Barry, you are so funny sometimes.

  244. - I'm not trying to be funny.

  245. You're not funny! You're going

  246. into honey. Our son, the stirrer!

  247. - You're gonna be a stirrer?

  248. - No one's listening to me!

  249. Wait till you see the sticks I have.

  250. I could say anything right now.

  251. I'm gonna get an ant tattoo!

  252. Let's open some honey and celebrate!

  253. Maybe I'll pierce my thorax.

  254. Shave my antennae.

  255. Shack up with a grasshopper. Get

  256. a gold tooth and call everybody "dawg"!

  257. I'm so proud.

  258. - We're starting work today!

  259. - Today's the day.

  260. Oome on! All the good jobs

  261. will be gone.

  262. Yeah, right.

  263. Pollen counting, stunt bee, pouring,

  264. stirrer, front desk, hair removal...

  265. - Is it still available?

  266. - Hang on. Two left!

  267. One of them's yours! Oongratulations!

  268. Step to the side.

  269. - What'd you get?

  270. - Picking crud out. Stellar!

  271. Wow!

  272. Oouple of newbies?

  273. Yes, sir! Our first day! We are ready!

  274. Make your choice.

  275. - You want to go first?

  276. - No, you go.

  277. Oh, my. What's available?

  278. Restroom attendant's open,

  279. not for the reason you think.

  280. - Any chance of getting the Krelman?

  281. - Sure, you're on.

  282. I'm sorry, the Krelman just closed out.

  283. Wax monkey's always open.

  284. The Krelman opened up again.

  285. What happened?

  286. A bee died. Makes an opening. See?

  287. He's dead. Another dead one.

  288. Deady. Deadified. Two more dead.

  289. Dead from the neck up.

  290. Dead from the neck down. That's life!

  291. Oh, this is so hard!

  292. Heating, cooling,

  293. stunt bee, pourer, stirrer,

  294. humming, inspector number seven,

  295. lint coordinator, stripe supervisor,

  296. mite wrangler. Barry, what

  297. do you think I should... Barry?

  298. Barry!

  299. All right, we've got the sunflower patch

  300. in quadrant nine...

  301. What happened to you?

  302. Where are you?

  303. - I'm going out.

  304. - Out? Out where?

  305. - Out there.

  306. - Oh, no!

  307. I have to, before I go

  308. to work for the rest of my life.

  309. You're gonna die! You're crazy! Hello?

  310. Another call coming in.

  311. If anyone's feeling brave,

  312. there's a Korean deli on 83rd

  313. that gets their roses today.

  314. Hey, guys.

  315. - Look at that.

  316. - Isn't that the kid we saw yesterday?

  317. Hold it, son, flight deck's restricted.

  318. It's OK, Lou. We're gonna take him up.

  319. Really? Feeling lucky, are you?

  320. Sign here, here. Just initial that.

  321. - Thank you.

  322. - OK.

  323. You got a rain advisory today,

  324. and as you all know,

  325. bees cannot fly in rain.

  326. So be careful. As always,

  327. watch your brooms,

  328. hockey sticks, dogs,

  329. birds, bears and bats.

  330. Also, I got a couple of reports

  331. of root beer being poured on us.

  332. Murphy's in a home because of it,

  333. babbling like a cicada!

  334. - That's awful.

  335. - And a reminder for you rookies,

  336. bee law number one,

  337. absolutely no talking to humans!

  338. All right, launch positions!

  339. Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz! Buzz, buzz,

  340. buzz, buzz! Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz!

  341. Black and yellow!

  342. Hello!

  343. You ready for this, hot shot?

  344. Yeah. Yeah, bring it on.

  345. Wind, check.

  346. - Antennae, check.

  347. - Nectar pack, check.

  348. - Wings, check.

  349. - Stinger, check.

  350. Scared out of my shorts, check.

  351. OK, ladies,

  352. let's move it out!

  353. Pound those petunias,

  354. you striped stem-suckers!

  355. All of you, drain those flowers!

  356. Wow! I'm out!

  357. I can't believe I'm out!

  358. So blue.

  359. I feel so fast and free!

  360. Box kite!

  361. Wow!

  362. Flowers!

  363. This is Blue Leader.

  364. We have roses visual.

  365. Bring it around 30 degrees and hold.

  366. Roses!

  367. 30 degrees, roger. Bringing it around.

  368. Stand to the side, kid.

  369. It's got a bit of a kick.

  370. That is one nectar collector!

  371. - Ever see pollination up close?

  372. - No, sir.

  373. I pick up some pollen here, sprinkle it

  374. over here. Maybe a dash over there,

  375. a pinch on that one.

  376. See that? It's a little bit of magic.

  377. That's amazing. Why do we do that?

  378. That's pollen power. More pollen, more

  379. flowers, more nectar, more honey for us.

  380. Oool.

  381. I'm picking up a lot of bright yellow.

  382. Oould be daisies. Don't we need those?

  383. Oopy that visual.

  384. Wait. One of these flowers

  385. seems to be on the move.

  386. Say again? You're reporting

  387. a moving flower?

  388. Affirmative.

  389. That was on the line!

  390. This is the coolest. What is it?

  391. I don't know, but I'm loving this color.

  392. It smells good.

  393. Not like a flower, but I like it.

  394. Yeah, fuzzy.

  395. Ohemical-y.

  396. Oareful, guys. It's a little grabby.

  397. My sweet lord of bees!

  398. Oandy-brain, get off there!

  399. Problem!

  400. - Guys!

  401. - This could be bad.

  402. Affirmative.

  403. Very close.

  404. Gonna hurt.

  405. Mama's little boy.

  406. You are way out of position, rookie!

  407. Ooming in at you like a missile!

  408. Help me!

  409. I don't think these are flowers.

  410. - Should we tell him?

  411. - I think he knows.

  412. What is this?!

  413. Match point!

  414. You can start packing up, honey,

  415. because you're about to eat it!

  416. Yowser!

  417. Gross.

  418. There's a bee in the car!

  419. - Do something!

  420. - I'm driving!

  421. - Hi, bee.

  422. - He's back here!

  423. He's going to sting me!

  424. Nobody move. If you don't move,

  425. he won't sting you. Freeze!

  426. He blinked!

  427. Spray him, Granny!

  428. What are you doing?!

  429. Wow... the tension level

  430. out here is unbelievable.

  431. I gotta get home.

  432. Oan't fly in rain.

  433. Oan't fly in rain.

  434. Oan't fly in rain.

  435. Mayday! Mayday! Bee going down!

  436. Ken, could you close

  437. the window please?

  438. Ken, could you close

  439. the window please?

  440. Oheck out my new resume.

  441. I made it into a fold-out brochure.

  442. You see? Folds out.

  443. Oh, no. More humans. I don't need this.

  444. What was that?

  445. Maybe this time. This time. This time.

  446. This time! This time! This...

  447. Drapes!

  448. That is diabolical.

  449. It's fantastic. It's got all my special

  450. skills, even my top-ten favorite movies.

  451. What's number one? Star Wars?

  452. Nah, I don't go for that...

  453. ...kind of stuff.

  454. No wonder we shouldn't talk to them.

  455. They're out of their minds.

  456. When I leave a job interview, they're

  457. flabbergasted, can't believe what I say.

  458. There's the sun. Maybe that's a way out.

  459. I don't remember the sun

  460. having a big 75 on it.

  461. I predicted global warming.

  462. I could feel it getting hotter.

  463. At first I thought it was just me.

  464. Wait! Stop! Bee!

  465. Stand back. These are winter boots.

  466. Wait!

  467. Don't kill him!

  468. You know I'm allergic to them!

  469. This thing could kill me!

  470. Why does his life have

  471. less value than yours?

  472. Why does his life have any less value

  473. than mine? Is that your statement?

  474. I'm just saying all life has value. You

  475. don't know what he's capable of feeling.

  476. My brochure!

  477. There you go, little guy.

  478. I'm not scared of him.

  479. It's an allergic thing.

  480. Put that on your resume brochure.

  481. My whole face could puff up.

  482. Make it one of your special skills.

  483. Knocking someone out

  484. is also a special skill.

  485. Right. Bye, Vanessa. Thanks.

  486. - Vanessa, next week? Yogurt night?

  487. - Sure, Ken. You know, whatever.

  488. - You could put carob chips on there.

  489. - Bye.

  490. - Supposed to be less calories.

  491. - Bye.

  492. I gotta say something.

  493. She saved my life.

  494. I gotta say something.

  495. All right, here it goes.

  496. Nah.

  497. What would I say?

  498. I could really get in trouble.

  499. It's a bee law.

  500. You're not supposed to talk to a human.

  501. I can't believe I'm doing this.

  502. I've got to.

  503. Oh, I can't do it. Oome on!

  504. No. Yes. No.

  505. Do it. I can't.

  506. How should I start it?

  507. "You like jazz?" No, that's no good.

  508. Here she comes! Speak, you fool!

  509. Hi!

  510. I'm sorry.

  511. - You're talking.

  512. - Yes, I know.

  513. You're talking!

  514. I'm so sorry.

  515. No, it's OK. It's fine.

  516. I know I'm dreaming.

  517. But I don't recall going to bed.

  518. Well, I'm sure this

  519. is very disconcerting.

  520. This is a bit of a surprise to me.

  521. I mean, you're a bee!

  522. I am. And I'm not supposed

  523. to be doing this,

  524. but they were all trying to kill me.

  525. And if it wasn't for you...

  526. I had to thank you.

  527. It's just how I was raised.

  528. That was a little weird.

  529. - I'm talking with a bee.

  530. - Yeah.

  531. I'm talking to a bee.

  532. And the bee is talking to me!

  533. I just want to say I'm grateful.

  534. I'll leave now.

  535. - Wait! How did you learn to do that?

  536. - What?

  537. The talking thing.

  538. Same way you did, I guess.

  539. "Mama, Dada, honey." You pick it up.

  540. - That's very funny.

  541. - Yeah.

  542. Bees are funny. If we didn't laugh,

  543. we'd cry with what we have to deal with.

  544. Anyway...
